Growing up in the Twin Cities, baseball was an integral part of life for Eli and was a key contributor to staying off the "mean streets" of the East Side of St. Paul. It was always a dream for Eli to find a niche in baseball - if not as a player - then definitely as an owner of a team!
Eli believes that baseball should be fun, family friendly, and bring the community together! Even a little irreverence is welcome (the good kind of course!). You can see him running around the ballpark, pulling pranks on players, dressing up as a mascot, serving hot dogs, and checking IDs at the beer tent among many other Ospreys roles!
Eli is a 8th Communications Battalion Iraq Veteran Marine, Past Rotarian and Paul Harris Fellow, and member of the Military Affairs Committee of the Jacksonville-Onslow Chamber of Commerce.
Be ready! It's going to be fun, crazy, and yes grandma, just a little irreverent!

Orville Osprey
Orville the Osprey is still a lean, mean, baseball machine, proof that feathers don’t slow down fastballs. A proud Marine Veteran, Orville traded camo for cleats but kept the discipline, grit, and love of teamwork. These days, you’ll find him perched at Jack Amyette Park, cheering with his Jacksonville NC peeps, cracking jokes, and keeping the Ospreys’ spirit sky‑high.

When he’s not leading the charge, Orville hangs out with his wingman and fellow Marine Veteran, Sammy the Silly Goose, because every serious osprey needs a goofy goose to keep things balanced. Together, they’re the ultimate duo: one brings the muscle, the other brings the mischief.

Sammy the Silly Goose
Meet Sammy the Silly Goose, the laid‑back, Hawaiian Shirt wearing prankster of the Ospreys flock. Named in honor of Mayor Sammy Phillips, Sammy brings laughter and mischief wherever he waddles. He’s famous for pulling playful pranks on his war and baseball buddy, Orville the Osprey, proving that even a lean, mean baseball machine needs a goofy goose to keep him on his toes.

Sammy’s true mission? Making kiddos smile at the ballpark with his antics, high‑fives, and silly surprises. Together, Orville and Sammy go together like lamb and tuna fish, an odd pair that somehow makes perfect sense. Whether it’s cheering in the stands, clowning around on the field, or keeping the Ospreys’ spirit soaring, Sammy is the heart of the fun.

I was a gymnast for 20 years and competed for West Chester University as an event specialist on Vault, Floor and balance beam. At West Chester University I completed my bachelor's degree in Kinesiology with a minor in Coaching. After graduating, I continued my education at Central Pennsylvania College where I completed my physical therapy degree and became a licensed physical therapist assistant.
I am married to a retired Marine and have two bonus sons. Our family has 4 dogs and 2 cats. I love sports and travel back to Pittsburgh frequently to attend games for our black and gold teams. I love giving back to the community and educating athletes, teaching rising PT or PTA students, and advocating for our profession. I spent a lot of time in physical therapy as a college athlete, and it helped me get through my career and continue participating in what I loved most.

Dr. Justin Henson
I am Dr. Justin Henson, raised outside of Detroit, Michigan. I grew up playing sports and fell in love with athletics at a very young age. My main two sports growing up were hockey and football. I joined the Marine Corps after high school where I was an aircraft mechanic on KC-130Js for 5 years. I travelled the globe totaling 18 countries and 42 states during my time in the Marine Corps. When I joined the Marine Corps I really fell in love with body building and exercising in general. I began taking classes at American Military University for Exercise Science just to boost my knowledge. When I decided to get out of the military, I needed to look for what was next. I needed a SLAP repair on my right shoulder. Afterwards went through PT and fell in love with the profession. I finished my bachelor's degree and started working on my doctorate degree at Charleston Southern University in South Carolina. During PT school I went on two clinical rotations where I specialized on working with elite level athletes. I was part of a 10-week clinical in Plymouth, Michigan where I worked with professional, collegiate, and developmental hockey players as well as professional cyclists, and numerous college athletes. Then I did another clinical in Greenville, NC where I worked with numerous college athletes from ECU. I am also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. My dream is to not only help athletes recover from injuries and back to doing what they love, but help prevent injuries from occurring in the first place with Strength and Conditioning. My passion is for helping athletes achieve goals they did not even know were possible or thought they would not get back to!
